the domed one are better as retouch brushes, while I prefer the flat for sure for a complete coat. However, probably not the long flat, as you risk to press it on the top to get more varnish out of the length, but what comes out may be just spirit (and ruin your coat), or simply you are using too much pressure. Short flats should be perfect, and I will buy me a set of those next time!
Instead, I really love the flat big ones, the beaver tales! Those are simply perfect and work like natural martor ones!
If after my feedback (in these comments) you feel you bought the wrong models, you can write them and change. When I made my order, I added one at the last minute and I forgot to ask for the long handle. Despite on their website is advised to double check the order for the right handle measures desired before submitting, they wrote me to ask, and they changed my handle to a long one for free. I didn’t expect such kindness!

Thank you for the brush tip! It's hard to find quality brushes without having to take out a loan! Just bought six for less than a $100
