Thank you for the step by step instructions. I have one question about this: I didn't even know that sonowood could be bent. Is this only the case for maple? And how thick is the layer on top of the glued fingerboard. How do you do the bending technically? On the already prepared form. Is there perhaps a picture of this? Thanks for your answer. Ulrich

Hallo! The veneer we use is 2 mm thick. On our previous two instruments we used beech sonowood, so I guess every wood can be bent same way. They suggested us to use steam, and this is what we did. We put it into a pot with boiling water (not to boil, just to take the steam) and in around 10 min it becomes soft and can be adapted to a curved surface. It’s actually easier than ebony.
