I installed the Aquila moderns at a=415. When I tuned them up to a=440 the C and G broke. I have now installed Boussoir C and G at a=440. Aquila D, A and E are of course at a=440.
The Aquila strings are beautiful but fragile. The e is fraying and it will break soon. The Boussoir C and G are also beautiful.
Aquila is adamant in their literature that the strings must be at 415.
