I like a fingerboard 316 mm long, but according to “the official given measures,” it is 324 mm longer.

At first, you have to draw/see the shape from above, an isosceles trapezoid, to understand the measures of the wood you need:

  • Two sides in maple, 6 mm thick, 328 long, 20 high

  • A trapezium in spruce as a core, possibly with vertical grains, 324 mm long, 25 mm high, 20 mm wide at the nut and 42 mm towards the bridge.

  • A veneer in hardwood, 2 mm thick, 330 long and 70 wide.
