It is taken from a critical leaflet during the Thirty Years' War (guerra dei trent'anni) and is making fun of boastful (presuntuoso) soldiers.

“The engraving shows an oversized violin lying in a coastal landscape, which is being played by several soldiers. Two squads try to set the bow in motion, another marches on the strings.

The leaflet criticizes soldiers of the Thirty Years' War who brag about their alleged exploits.”
