Alessandro’s Violoncello da Spalla in concert
…and… we’re featured on “the Strad” magazine again!
Enjoy this beautiful Vivaldi sonata RV 43, played with wonderful drama and expression by Alberto Vitolo. Alberto’s mission is to bring Italian 18th century music to the modern audience, played with the instruments of modern times. He thinks that the Violoncello da Spalla is the correct instrument to play baroque cello repertoire. He is the happy owner of an Alessandro Visintini Violoncello da Spalla since one year now, and he fully committed to the study of its repertoire. He plays with Thomastick strings, that he finds so close to his ideal cello voice.
News from da Spalla world
Have you seen this beautiful video from the Museo del Prado, Madrid, on their Facebook account? Carlos Albuisech, spallist in Madrid, is introducing the Violoncello da Spalla in front of the paintings by Bruegel depicting it. So precious!
